I'm new to antique tractors. My 44 JD A runs rough and the carb gets ice cold. anybody know why this is? Thanks,

I got the same year tractor. my 44 A has a all gas carb. runs alot better.

All carbs do that its part of how they work. Thats why on cars theres a tube that pulling hot air off the exhaust manifold up to the intake of the engine. If you run your tractor long enough the carb will warm up and all will be well
