Saw your wheat planting pics the other day-thought I'd slap mine up too. Finish drilling Sat. aft, kinda odd too be putting those seeds down in moist dirt. The black spot to the right of the tractor in the forward shot is my Canine GPS, border collie model. The offset and tracking kinda varies on what type of "sheep" jumps up. To her everything is a sheep and needs to be gathered up. Birds=flying sheep, cottontails=fasta$$ sheep, jackrabbits=fastera$$sheep, cats=sheep w/ sharp hooves and skunks=stinky sheep which for some reason require close range herding. Hey Kid!

Where 'bouts are you?

And, where do ya park your planter at night? He, he.

You remind me of my neighbors. They can plant 80 acres before I can get my old chunker outfit lowered into the dirt. :>)

Located east of Cheyenne, little town of Carpenter. Drills have end transport, lower the wheels you see on the back, hook on the front and drive away. Unit is 30', most guys around here run 40s or 50s. How's your wheat lookin', what did you end up planting and what rate?

Wheat looks great; all up and field is covered now. Ended up with 77 lbs of Jagelene per acre.

Sure hope the moisture holds, 'cause that is plenty thick enough. :>)

Round here most people plant Buckskin, some Pronghorn (sister of Buckskin). Try to stay around 54 -60 lbs/acre on 12 or 14" rows. I remeber when I was a kid Dad planting 30#/a, anything more was a waste of seed. Had a liitle over 8" of moisture for the year, 'bout 31/2 below norm.

Well, heck yes.

If I went out and climbed a tree, I could probably see your place from here. :>)

Thanks for the stories about your Black and White. We had a Border Collie in my later youth. When she was a pup she caught a Jack on the north 40. After that wa couldn't work up there without her walking every inch we drove.

Maybe I have missed it but it would be nice if kim had some lesson's posted about posting pix for us neophites.
