Another source says that a lot more were built...

By the way, the two-cylinders continued to be built in Argentina well into the 60's. Especially the 730D. Some are finding their way back into the U.S.

It may have been the last one to leave Waterloo.ut 84000026 was NOT the last two cylinder built.

There were aproximately 840 model 840 industrial tractors built, beginning in March 1959 and ending in February, 1960, when the final two were built (both with Starting Engines)

The last Waterloo built two cylinders were built in July of 1960 when 41 730D se and 85 730D es tractors were built.

All of the other two cylinder models except for the 830 were actually discontinued in January of 1960. Along with the last two 840 tractors, there were 22x 830 se, 1x 830 es, and 5x 830I se tractors built during February of 1960.

One source I found says that serial numbers went from 8400000 to 8400848, for a total of 849 units made in the years 1958-1960..

I would of thought there were more than 26 made ? If not then that is indeed a rare model. I have seen at least 3 or 4 with pan scrapers around here in Ohio in the past.
