I think Old nailed it, thats the saying I've always heard.

Aound here for the past couple of days its been to wet to plow and too windy to haul rocks. Glad ole Ernie is gone. He left 5" of rain here in Beaverdam. We needed it though.

That's pretty Gary. Just where in the cornpatch are you anyway? I came from SW corner. Oakland, about 25 miles east of Council Bluffs. Live down here in southern Mo. now. Harley

Red in morning sailor take warning, red at night sailor delight. Or so the saying goes. Guess you will know by tonight if its true

This side of the pond we say shepherd, not sailor. But there again, we were well inland, as far as you can get in the UK.
And while we are at it, why do we teach our kids that the sun "rises" or "sets", when we have known for a few hundred years that it is the Earth that is in motion relative to the stationary Sun?
Regards, RAB

Gary, down here in SW IA we are looking toward a day of off and on showers, I am going to try to get some fence built anyway.

I have heard the old sailors rhyme also. I hope it doesn't prove true today.
