F20 McCormick...missing serial #

looking for help, on a way to find the model year,with the serial plate missing... found these #'s on the side of the block,"fa53187", could these be the serial numbers? purchased a pair of these tractors last week, the one that had a serial plate is 1938,,both tractors look alike,,

If one is a 1934 and one is a 1938 and they look alike, I think one is painted the wrong color.

they look alike because no paint lots of rust,,,been sitting out in the fields long time...hoping to get one running out of the two

That engine number will get you real close but,sitting in the seat on the left frame rail at about the flywheel housing the actual number is stamped in the top of that rail if something hasn't destroyed it
