Get a clear open path get it going and try to get it going in a higher gear then just stab one brake pedal it may take more than once. I have had very good luck with this method.

I have a 373D that has had the same problems. In the past I have been able to rock it back and forth and it has broken free.

another trick that isnt real safe is to depress the clutch pedal.start the tractor in low gear and while moving spike the brakes (with the clutch still depressed )alot of times this is enough to break the clutch disk free from the flywheel.just make sure the path in front of the tractor is clear. i would be careful with any kind of oil around the clutch disk as this can cause slippage. bill

Well I used the driving and spiking the brakes technique: It worked, However, I lost 1st gear and reverse (I was in 1st gear at the time)When in 1st the tractor moves slightly with a little gear noise, reverse no movement lots of gear noise. 2nd and 3rd work fine, no other damage. How much fun am I in for fixing the gears? any idea what I broke? I have a repair manual.

That might be why I was told to use high gear ? Less engine power and more shocking effect with a brake stab. I'd check for a broken/bent shift fork.

There isn't any sort of inspection hole or plate you can take off to get to it is there? if so a good rap with a small mallet or hammer usually does the trick. Some WD40 or such helps too. Mike.
