Bore Da;
This is Newport Bay, the next bay up the coast 3 miles from Dinas Island (where I live now). The farm (white buildings in the centre of the picture) is called Ffynonddofn which is tucked away in the hollow to protect it from the winds. The highest point of this peninsula is Foel-Fach 433 feet above see level.
Mixed farming, you can see where some ploughing has just been done (above the top of the yatch mast).
Cheers David

Yes, lovely country. Wales has always been a fascinating enigma, long a "dark and bloody ground" for the English in the old days. The singing, the character of the people: one couild easily believe they were originally refugees from someplace that"s long disappeared, the equivalent of a USO troupe that got stranded when the center collapsed. Is it Basque that has the only similarities to Welsh?? I"ll have to refresh my memory. And there are the old reports from English Officers in the southern US, during our unfortunate disagreement, that the Mandan indians (gone now) could converse with the English Welsh Officers; not perfectly, but well enough to be understood by both parties. Fascinating. Many thxx for the post. Best wishes.

Greetings! Looks like a beautiful setting! Just what kind of crops can you grow there? What's the climate like? Kind of tractors and equipment used on farm? How may big is the farm? How far away nearest town and farm markets? Thanks for replying. Hope you are all having a good day there. Kindest regards, Michael
