Train? Thats no train. :>)

Last night we had Tractor, Baler, Wagon, second Wagon, Rake, all going down the road. Followed up with the dually pullin a 20' flat bed. Dat's a train. Made for some careful planning on turns and a lot of pretty flashing lights, but it was a pretty straight shot going from the house to the field we will be using them in.

If you get a chance I'd sure like to see ya post a pic of those two rakes working. I love to find a match to my JD 894.

Yes Sir,

I sure will. It's gonna take me a bit to get it all figured out and adjusted so it works right.

These other farmers around here have been using these things for years, but it's a totally new process for me. Guess I'm a babe in the woods on this one. :>)

With any luck, I should be cuttin' again in a couple of weeks.

Allan

Mornin Allan; Sure wish I had your knack for "finding" old Iron. First I lost out on the 666 I had spotted, now looks like you may be getting one, and the loader and rake setup. Makes my mouth water. Just going to have to buy a tractor trailer and take a road trip around this great country of ours and do some visiting at the farms along the way looking for deals. Ha, if I could afford the truck I couldnt afford the fuel. lol Great looking setup buddy, Bob

It's amazing what a farmall h will lift with a simple loader on it. They can lift more than they can handle. I can move two 4x5 round bales on the front of my H with a simple horn trip bucket loader. And it handles it quite well to be honest.
Thats a lot of weight on the front end!!!

Looks good, I have one of those F-11 loaders that came off an M(but no grapple. I put it on a 460 and it sure works slick.

Yes Sir,

They are just a nice light loader with a heck of a lot of punch. Just wish they were a little easier to get off and on. :>)

Yer supposed to be able to take them off? I probably shouldn't have welded it like I did then (just kiddin) Yer right though. Mine is on for the duration. I had to take it off once to split the tractor when I screwed up the TA but otherwise it stays. I was thinking of welding up a roll over/sunshade off the top of the loader cross brace. Make it look like an old locomotive LOL My only problem is I can't see the bucket from the seat. I was thinking of mounting little flags like they have on bicycles on each corner so I could tell the angle/location of the bucket G

I'm usually just a looker, but the picture of the "M" with a F-11 loader brought back a ton of memories. That tractor with a pancake pump, was the super duper hay loader of my youth. I don't know how many hay trucks I loaded or many bales I put in the barns with such a rig. Graduated highschool and bought a 2840 with a 265 loader to replace it. 20 years ago seems like yesterday

You can just barely see the sunset light on the grapple forks on that loader. One of those style loaders would be the bee's knees for brush and tree removal. I've always wanted to get one for work where we have lots of woods to take care of. That rake setup is going to be one neat deal when it's all together.
