What kind of tech school? Everybody's crying for workers of any type in the Pacific Northwest. Many of the larger employers are running permanent ads in the paper, and the local temp labor office advertises that if you show up by 7:30, they'll have you on a job by 8. And not to denigrate anybody else's country, but its pretty pleasant around here, weather-wise, too.

If he is willing to move and willing to do actual work, a job is out there for him. Just like many other people, my wife and I had to move far away from home to find gainful employment. It sucks to be this far away, but the bills had to be paid.

Good luck to your son, will say a short prayer for him.

What skills did he train in? Can he do something else while he waits for what he is trained in? We'll be praying.

Virgil:
Can you post a basic list of your son's skills? Many of us could bring to bear some connections, if we knew what sort of work he can do.

If he has not yet found a substantial employment, he should apply for a temporary conditional deferrment.

Too bad he's not up here, everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) is literally begging for workers, everything from basic help to skilled tech school workers. Hard to believe, it's a big problem, everywhere you drive are signboards advertising for help in every sector of the economy. I guess that's what an oil-rich economy does. Along with it though goes a ton of other problems.

Amen, brother!! The announcement was made last week that my workplace was closing and a former boss of mine heard about it and called me and I go to work for him next week. The Lord always provides and He is always on time! Never under estimate the power of prayer!!

I like your name. I noted awhile back you made a comment on another forum but hadn't heard you on lately. I assume you have a jubilee tractor as I do, but I have some john deere's as well, thus my name.
