Engine starts,runs for while,dies, starts,dies starts!!!! Codes U1192,P1626,P1216 and P1217 showed up on scanner but mechanic didn't know what to repair. PMD was relocated earlier. Thanks,Tx Jim

Are you sure there's no air in the system? Did you just change the filter or has this been happening for awhile? We have a 1995 6.5 that I maintained for a few years and I've had the same problem. Also did you check the lift pump function? If it's not working run a temporary wire to the pump to see if it's good. If that works then the oil pressure sending unit may be bad. This is where the lift pump gets it power after start-up. (Not sure if the 2000 model is set up the same way.)

No air in system,new fuel pump installed about 5000 miles back and lift pump runs when ing. is first turned on. TX Jim

Sounds like the injection pump is defective. Before I went that route though, have you opened the bleeder valve on top of the filter housing to verify good fuel flow from the lift pump?

Search the web,there are several websites.I learned enough to decide mine was going to another home.I had a 98 model that stump broke me.Something all the time with mine.PMD NEEDS to be relocated to the fender well for sure.
