About your fence , I can show you braces that I put in 30 yrs. ago and the cross brace is not losse . Its all about setting the post right . If the post begin to get losse then your brace will drop out . Always use the same cross brace as the post were putting it , locust , hedge or treated , never have used a pipe . Set the post right and you wont have a problem .

I'm just the opposite! Never have used a WOOD brace! Guess it's time to try it! Thanks!
