Hi Guys,

In a month school will be starting and everyone around here is gearing up for wheat planting.

Where does the time go, specially when yer havin' fun?

We got a hard rain at the farm the other night and I started takin' the cap off the wheat ground with the springtooth.

This saga will be continued on in a later installment shortly. :>)

Rush Limbaugh calls it "screwel" . He may have a point there.

Allan, I've wondered the same thing myself. I wouldn't say I've been having fun at work though, well, one guy keeps us entertained. I've got a couple friends going back to college next week, high school the week after. I'm still waiting for my 2nd cutting, grass is only 12-14" high. Being on top of a clay hill on a dry summer, I'm gonna wait and see if it'll grow some more after these rains we've had lately.

Some teachers here done went back to work this week and kids next week already. We got some rain the other night also and saw some planting wheat already yesterday trying to get a jump on some grazing. It's too early and too hot for that and if we get a hard rain they will be replanting. We won't put it in till end of month or 1st of September.

Summer still here at least at my place. Was 107 here in northeast OK today. Tulsa was reporting 103. No rain sence early July here. If don`t get rain in a week or so will be baling those soybeans, hate to think about that one dirty job.
