Hey Brian,

Just talking to a customer here about this years show. He said that there isn't going to be any gas provided for exhibitors this year. Also, said that the pork producers won't have a booth at the show either. Is any of that true or just heresay? Talk to ya later.

We're talking about the Ohio Valley Antique Machinery Show, which is Aug 10-13, Georgetown, Ohio.

This year they are featuring Ford/Fordson Tractors and Fairbanks Gas Engines.

Those aren't geeen or red but may come anyway. If that is Fayette Co, just a little over 50 miles.

No, this is in Brown County. Georgetown is about 40 miles SE of Cincinnati. If you're coming from Fayette County, you should be able to pick up US Route 68 South, and that will take you to Georgetown.

To be honest, I can't confirm or deny either question. I had heard rumors that the Pork Producers were not coming, but since I'm not on the Board of Directors this year, and haven't had much chance to sit in on a Director's Meeting, I don't know either for a fact.

I know that in years past, Lykins Oil donated the gas to the show. I can imagine that it would be a lot harder for them to do that this year, with the prices as they are.

It'll make for an interesting show if both of those things aren't there.

Will you be bringing your R this year? Tuffy Bohl was working hard to get his second R together in time. Haven't talked to him in a couple of days, but he had a lot of it together when I last saw him. It may not be the shiniest penny in the pocket, but neither is the owner... :)

Ha ha. That's a good description of tuffy. Naw, I won't have the R at the show this year. Still fightin the block on the water leak. I did everything in the book tryin to get that fixed and nothin worked. When things calm down I'll start a better search for another block. Meantime, I keep puttin a couple gallons in the radiator each time I work it. Plus, I want my new show exhaust system to be in order before it goes out to any shows. I finally found a set of split water jackets so I can custom rig a dual exhaust for it. I plan on puttin chrome stacks on either side of the hood when all is said and done. This year I'll be bringin the farmall A and possibly the 47 JD M that I restored for a friend (if it's alright with him). Of course, it should be since he hasn't picked it up or paid the labor in over a year. I should be up wednesday evening with the two. God bless.

Just finished cleaning up the Case L at the carwash, and will be driving her to the grounds Wed. afternoon. Tuffy is going to haul my Case 12-20 Crossmotor. It's not running, but it was my Dad tractor, who passed away this past April, and this is the first show without him. Seems only fitting to have HIS tractor there...

Seems progress on the second R has come to a stop, but I think Tuffy already has his first R and 730 on the grounds.

I'll be looking for you this weekend...

I did get a look at that tractor. Very nice! I'm planning on taking a few pics this weekend to post on here, and I'll be sure to get a shot of that one.
