Morning Guys,

Out in the field swathin' oats at 3am. Stuck clear to the hubs at 4 and back to the house at 5.

Dunno, just about ready to close all the gates and turn the cows out in 'er. I think they could do a way more effecient harvest than the rate I'm going. :>(

Good news is that I can still see the top of the haybine reel stickin' out above the grain.

'Spose when it gets light, I gotta take the big tractor out there and see if I can suck that heavy joker up outta the mud.

Oh, the humilation of it all. :>)

Allan

Come on Allan...humiliation? Now if you posted a picture of the situation...that would be humiliation. :-)

Well, you're doing a pretty good job of keeping folks from wanting to move out to your area. In the last couple weeks, we've heard reports of heat, drought, fire, and now mud. Next, maybe a volcano?☺
You must be a tough old bird to keep your wits about you in the face of everything. Hats off to you Sir! If you were looking to farming for some tax relief, this sounds like it should be a banner year.
Best O' Luck with your endeavors.

Well,

There is an upside. Found out that the little hydro tranny is stronger than what that engine can put out.

Trouble is, the tractor just didn't have power enough to pull thru the tiger shut, so I just unhooked 'er and went to the house. :>)

Darned swather is really buried. Just hope I don't pull 'er in two when I chain on to it with the big tractor with the duals on.

Allan

Morning Allan; Sounds like a little tough luck. On the bright side you have something to recover. The tornado that hit Warroad Mn over the weekend did get national tv coverage in town and the water-front. Did not mention the farm equipment loss and field damage. Wife was up there visiting her sister doing canning and visiting her dad in a Warroad assisted living center. They were all safe and spared major damages. Look forward to your pictures. Bob

Mornin Allan

How much rain did you get?

I'm surprised that the soil is that wet there.

Sounds like a day I might have.

Gary

Allen, Don't forget to take pictures and put them on Stuck and Troubled. Since your such a good friend, you can always label it "anonymous". Be careful and God Bless.

Allan, Morning! Looks like there are some days that it might not pay to get out of Bed. But that hay will still be worth it come winter. Wheather you keep it and feed your animals or sell to someone else. It beats Snowballs all to thunder.
Just be careful on pulling it out. No Funny Stuff.
Remember when the botom falls out from under a tractor with Duals on you just quadrupled your problem, (been there). Take someone with you! Good Luck.
Later,
John A.
