last nite i couldnt leave the new motor alone,,lol,,i went out of did as you said and got oil pumping right off,,,great,,now a couple more questions,,,i am running sae 30 oil non derg,oil,,and what should the brake in time be? i will be running a 5 ft brush hog with this 8, and i am a little concerned about running it right away, with brake in time .also does anyone know where i can get the rod ends that hook to the throttle and the govener,,the spring loaded ends? they want to keep popping off.i need 4 of them. well i will fired the motor up today and keep every one posted,,and thank you all for your fast and informational responce, it helped me so much,,,like i said ( YOU GUYS ARE GOOD),

I've always been told when brakeing one in you run it like you would if it was broke in other then you don't lug it any and you don't work it real hard. You also don't hold it just at one point on the trottle you varie the RPMs a lot. Now as far as those parts I might have some if not all the rods you need in my shop. E-mail is open

For the linkage parts, you can check out ebay under 8N. There are ususally some of these parts listed there. Also, try the Fordson House. As far as breaking in the engine, use it at partial load for 10 to 15 hours and then it should be ready for normal work.
