Hafta say driving around over the last couple days...

About 1/2 the gardens I see are doing poor -- plants way, way smaller then they should be. Many of these obviously not beginners, being put in regular garden spots.

So I'll bet that's from the wet weather we've been having.

I'm doing OK, heck, I can hold my head up high this year with the best around...but I also have raised beds and good drainage, and I've had the time to dote on the garden a lot.

Ill be ready next year. Maybe I can put some drainage tile around the garden, or get some fill. I guess from year after year of gardening the ground will settle some. Well we planted around 130 tomato plants, around 45 green yellow, and red pepper, 6 rows of corn, and alot of fruits, and pickles. Good thing even if we lose some all should be good. Glad Im not the only one with issues. I do know of quite a few people who planted seed, and lost their gardens. So I guess something is better than nothing.

Yeah, I planted my 2nd batch of corn & 1st batch of beans the same day.

Then it rained for the next 5 days...

I thought the beans would be toast, they sprouted like no one's business.

The corn failed...luckily I had the forethought to dig up a couple spots, didn't see any sprouts so I re-seeded that area when I did my 3rd planting of corn. That all came up, none of the 2nd planting did.
