Well I finally got the new waterpump for the WD. Went out there and put it on, New hoses too. Went ahead and put a new muffler on as well. Started her up, sounds great but what is that buzzing around. When I bought it several years ago there was a wasp nest in the brakes, They are back and with a mean streak. So, its back in the night with wasp spray and then open up the brakes again. Haveing a good day;lol Bob

Hi!
Starting fluid works well to.
BUT make sure the can will spray at the angle you need BEFORE you go after them. I think olds idea with the brake cleaner would be the best in this case. It will do two jobs at once :)

My self I would use brake cleaner or carb cleaner. It kills them just as dead and cost less the wasp sprays. Plus you might not even have to do anything more then spray the brakes out that way. A lot of wasp sprays have oil in them and thats not good on the brakes either

Good idea Old. Thanks for the tip. Before I left I plugged the 4 holes in the housing with bits of cloth, probably should have left them open but was kinda mad at them. Aticle in todays paper, lady was telling how benificial they are in controling catapillars, grasshoppers etc. Never seen any jacket or wasp carry a bug back to their hive. Has anyone out there? Bob

More gruesome, they land on them, lay eggs in the them then let them hatch. The pupae eat the caterpillar from the inside out.
