I patched the radiator on my Ford 2000 with JB Weld, I had about 5 holes. The JB Weld didn"t seal them up totally but adding some Barrs Stop lead did the trick.

Question: should I drain and flush the radiator so any leftover Barrs is cleaned out?

There are several kinds of stop leak barrs makes, I used the tablets that you crumble into the radiator.

Oh yea, after fixin the radiator figured I needed to knock down some of the 3-4 foot brush that was growin around the place with the brush hog. Everything going fine, when I looked toward the house (about 100" away) noticed my trucks back window was laying in a million pieces. So much for a good day.

You probably need to leave it in there.I flushed out my 86 F250 and the heater core went to pouring. It doesen't permantly seal it but keeps on working as long as some is still in the system.Jack(TN).
