Wisconsin v4 fuel pump leak

Got 10 acres of oats left to cut, & the fuel pump is running out fuel in a constant stream out the 'leak holes'. Obviously the diaphram is rotted through.

It's a round pump, lever activated, even has a manual finger pumper on it.

I took it apart, & the diaphram is connected to the lever in the middle of the pot metal. How do I disconnect the diaphram from the lever? Lever is all riveted togother so it won't follow through after the diaphram; they must disconnect somehow but no room to get in & do so?

Then, will I even be able to get a diaphram any more for this old cast iron engine? It goes way back, actually dad got it off an old Woods corn picker, put it on the swather.

Magneto; no charging system on this, tho I do have a 6v battery riding along to run the starter a few times. So, electric conversion would be messy, I'd just like to figure out the diaphram pump?

Went to the Carquest store this morning (slightly better stock than the local NAPA; we use both 'round here).

Put both halves of the fuel pump on the counter, & the nameplate from the Wisconsin engine - wanted all numbers available to track the old thing down.

He looked & said, "I sold it yesterday afternoon, sorry, but another will be in tomorrow by 7:30."

They actually stock them, not a special order!

Tho he looked it up to make sure, and couldn't find my exact engine referenced. I have an F, the E & H and many others use the fuel pump, so it should work.

Like said push it down against spring underneath to unhook it from the lever. Same fuel pump kit should fit all the Wisc. V4 pumps but the larger V461 & V465 had a different pump. Inlet and outlet are at different angles. Try NAPA or a small engine repair shop. or...

It has been a few years, but I bought my last pump for one of those engines at NAPA. Bobcat dealer might have some parts as some of their loaders used the Wisconsin.

No guarantees.... Push in and try to un-hook from the lever. It should unhook.
Most of these old pumps were a lot alike. Same size diaphram. You may have to re-rivet the center on a new diaphram I've been know to buy a new pump of wrong fit, but same diameter and tear it down for parts. {Kaiser/Frazer)
