Hi Guys,

Spent the morning up inside that darned old combine cinching' up the walker blocks.

Got 'em all done except the two clear forward on the right. 'Course these are the two hardest to get to.

It's 103° out there, felt like 140° inside that metal beast and I'll finish when it cools off a bit. Hope ol’ Bobbin and Nelly appreciate what I’m doin’ fer ‘em. :>(

Allan

Know what you mean Allan.

Couldn't setup mine fast enough so that I could jump in the AC cab.

Had to tighten the elevator chains and other belts and drive chains.

Its hot out there.

But I think you had it worst inside of the Gleaner.

Gary

C'mon Allan, you're having too much fun without us, and no pictures, either. What's the world coming to? Seriously though, try to have fun, and make sure you're safe. Too many people have been killed in farming accidents (my grandpa was almost part of the statistics).

I can remember quite clearly, being inside a M&M combine with a cutting tourch removing a bad bearing on a hot July day. Those sharp sieves punching in my but. Some memories never leave.

Be careful now Alan, and drink your gatorade! Course ya might console yourself a little knowin' that the only place worse (and hotter) to work on straw walker blocks is in the middle of the field after one of the blamed things has come loose and tore holy he!! out of things....don't ask me how I know these things.LOL Ben
