I first have to apologize to all. I am new to the tractor thing. I have this Jubilee for about 8 months...I have used it quite a bit. It has its qwerks though. I am mechanically inclined...have worked on automobiles for almost 20 years at the professional level. I feel I can tackle all the jobs on my Jube' myself. The question I have is my hydraulic fluid is milky(maybe water in it)... Would this cause it to bleed down? After a few seconds it bleeds down about an inch, then comes right back up. I would really like to have this fixed. Right now, I have the pump off. I plan on taking it to work tomorrow to clean it up/inspect it. Are there any web sites that have good pictures/info on this procedure? Thanks guys...this site has proved very informative.
John

The drifting may be the fluid effecting the pressue releif valve. This valve regulates the pumps pressure. Occasional drifting or abundant shaking are usually the signs. After you change the fluid, if the problem persists post another message and somone will help you through the process> Thanks

Water in the hydraulic oil. Drain and refill. No need to take off the pump.

Yes the milky fluid is water in it. Water will often get in from the shift lever if its left outside. I don't think the milky fluid is causing it to bleed down. Its probably a check valve

It could be the high pressure relief valve. The water may have caused the valve to corrode or pit it"s seat.It should be seated unless the system pressure goes up past the preset pressure point.

Well, the problem is it leaks down, like not enough pressure. I took the pump off and disassembled it. It had a bunch of crud in it and the large o-ring type seal was very 'worn'. I ordered a service kit with gaskets and springs/balls, from New Holland for only $13.00. Only problem is it won't be here until next week, and I really wanted to do some work---er play this weekend. Oh well. Also,in one of the slots where the big balls go there was a piece of white plastic or something...a little chunk...looks like it could keep that piston from going up/down. Does anyone know if the FO-19 manual has exploded views. Tractor supply has them, but they are sealed..couldn't check. Thanks again guys. One last question. Do you know if anyone besides New Holland carries the valve inspection cover gasket?
