That water hose trick won't work on paper wasps. Get the heck stung out of you everytime.

If you wait til after dark, use a bag and squeeze off the nest at the top.

I heard that if they are heading to the nest they won't sting you because they have food, but if they are coming out the nest, loook out!

Use a water hose, stand back and put the hose on the hardest stream the nozzle will allow. The water dissolves the "paper" surrounding the nest, the water stream disburses the hornets and as they built the nest out of the elements, being soaked sort of demoralizes them. You can walk over and crush those that fall to the ground.

The nice thing about this method is there are no chemicals and a water hose is a low cost option.
I have a 100% success rate and have never been stung in the process.

Burn your house down. Do it at night. Works every time.

Hi!
Starting fluid works very well too.
I did that when I found a wasp nest in the phone box.
When they were squirted they looked surprized and then "good night irene"
Couple secounds later, you coulden't tell what hit them cause it leaves no residue.
No smoking though!
and $0.99 a can beats most everything else.
Just my two cents.

Do it after the sun goes down so they are all in the nest
