I need an over running clutch for an IH 240 with a 5 foot mower. Where do I buy one? What should I look for? How much should I pay?

Any equipment dealer, $35 - $40 for a new one. Should be 1-3/8" PTO shaft.

Rob:
Don't know where you are located but I have one of those clutches in my shop and would gladly sell it to you.
I used it behind a 9N for a cutter, have neither one and the clutch you want is of no use to me now.

Get back to me if we can make a deal. I would sell it to you for less than an implement dealer would charge you..plus whatever shipping charges might be.
Let me know if I can be of help. (I am located outside Dallas, Ore, 18 miles W of Salem.)

Best place is a Case?IH dealer becuase it will be as good as the junk you can get now days. Or any other tractor dealer, then places like TSC etc. But of course if you buy from a ealer you pay more but maybe get better back up if it stops working

Are you talking about the gizmo the hooks to the PTO and then you hook on the shaft? I know a lot of older fords and john Deeres need these. check central tractor or places like that. I am sure someone on here knows the best price place to go to. Jeffcat
