I am reasonably certain that Kubota had a 2-cylinder tractor back in the 1970's that sounded like a 2-cylinder JD. I think that Kubota was one of their very earliest tractors sold in the USA and was probably 25 HP or less. Anyone know the model number of that Kubota?

Kubota made at least 4 2 cylinder tractors from 1972 to 1982. Engine h.p. range from 17 to 21.

A local restaurant owner has one like it called L175. He might want to sell it. It is a peppy little tractor but has awful vibration at some RPM's.
