The hydraulics are very slow to respond and hitch drops immediately after shutting off tractor. the fluid level is good and the oil looks clear. Any thoughts.

John

Christos, that info is not quite right.
To use Draft control:- Position control in transport position - Response control in mid position to start with.
To use Position control:- Draft control fully up.
To use Draft control and Diverter valve for remotes:- Position control in Constant pumping position - Response control in Fast, ( additional info if using spool valves).
JJ.
PS. read your operators manual (grin)

Eh, I'm young and stupid...I have a remote diverter valve so everthing is at the Top of the Quadrant...lol. But I couldn't remember which way which.

I guess its time to hit the ole manuals again. When you think you've read them enough times, you really haven't! :)

This might come across as silly, but when you use the Draft and Response control do you have them at the set right when you use one or the other? If you want to use Draft the Reponse Control has to be down and vice versa for using the Reponse Control. If you have a diverter valve for remote hydraulics, you have to place BOTH levers upright and that might stop what you're describing.

(PS read your Service and Operators Manual...both have troubleshooting sections)
