Darnit!

I know I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth, but one of our clients just doubled our workload around here. This means I gotta stay in the office more.

As I see it, the only way around this dilemma is to buy another old tractor so I can still get my "farmer play time" in.

Does this make any sense to you guys? :>)

Allan

Just send some of that computer work my way. I've got way too much time to spend on tractors, and not enough money to buy gas for them.

So Allen, what exactly do you do to pay the bills? Last time I checked painting old IH tractors and baling hay just doesnt cut it. Or at least I am not smart enough to make it work for me...

That's what I tell people what I do too. :-)

I'm going to guess you are doing some web hosting? If so do you have the servers there or at a co-lo? I had noticed some satilite dishes on one of your photos from a while back, and I've been meaning to ask if you are happy with the service? I had been using DirctPC awhile ago, but found it didn't work so well for what I was doing, but would still like to find one that works to put out at the farm, as it doesn't get cable or DSL out there.

I'm a unix systems admin.

Hi Andy,

They work, but are a huge pain, especially in the wintertime. Luckily, we live in a region where there just isn't much of a weather problem.

If I had my way, everything would be hardwired with old #9 phone line. :>)

Allan

Now if you get that tractor with heat and air and get a lap top computer, you can do it all at once.

Is there any way you and I can get our heads together and talk her out of that "green" color? :>)

I like that outfit you have.

Allan If you can find one for her to ride in I think she would approve the purchase.

They are very comfy (sp)

They also have the jump seat.

It absolutely makes sense!!! You will save more time by not having to switch implements from tractor to tractor.

Sounds like a good reason to buy another. Just explain to the old lady that since time will be limited you need a bigger tractor. Say honey once the workload and bigger tractor start working out, there will be time for you and her to ride the horses.
