I have had continued trouble with a TSX 616 (Case 800 tractor) MS carb. I had trouble with the needle seat leaking around the threads. now i'm getting alot of gas up and around the throttle plate and then running out around the shaft. This happens when i turn on the gas and try to start it it floods and i get gas everywhere. I presume the problem is a vent issue. There was a post here a 2 years ago with a diagram from a book. Does anyone have these pictures/schematics of these things? not much info in the rebuild kit. Thanks.

Hi, INcase. I have a diagram from a Oliver Tractor, M/S TSX-903, I think. It should be close to what you have, and it is more detailed than Glen's. If you want it just open your e-mail, and I will scan it for you and send it to you. Thanks, NorminN.B.

This diagram was posted under my handle in parts & pieces photo gallery. You need to shut the fuel off at the sediment bowl when not using it. Also try a needle seat kit in another brand maybe? I've had trouble sometimes with ones from Zenith/Marvel Schebler kits not fitting right but not often. Usually threads are messed up from someone tightening it too tight or crossing threads from installing a poor fitting generic one. Sounds like the threads on seat or needle is still leaking. Thread repairs in casting and refacing the seat thread surface may be needed. Also shake the float to make sure it isn't laden with fuel inside. You can also hold the float with a pair of pliers in a pan of hot water (not boiling) and see bubbles spewing from it if it has a leak. After draining fuel you can solder leaks shut on them but new floats are available reasonably. The TSX floats are also bad about collapsing some and if it's like that replace it with a new one to get back the buoyancy needed to keep the needle shut.
