At what height do you guys cut Brome? Orchard Grass? 1,2 or 3rd cuttings do you change heights?

I cut my grasses at 4-6" stubble height any shorter then that retards regrowth, drives up ash content and increases the chance of getting colostridia, and decreases digestability. I keep the cutting height the same for all 5 cuttings.

I leave about 2". I only get 1 cutting. Have not been able to spray it yet(not my ground) so am hoping to outgrow the weeds after cutting.

Bob I cut mine as short as I can every cutting.

Doesn't matter if its brome,orchardgrass,alfalfa or clover I cut it short.

It will grow back.
