Are there any good farm supply stores around anymore except TSC? Our local TSC is mostly into pet supplies and horses and I am getting a little tired of being told that I can't get what I want anymore. I want to buy some hog panels and would rather not use TSC. Any options around the SE end of the state? Also, anyone ever haul these 16 foot panels without a trailer? Can you carry them in the back of a pickup somehow?

Thanks guys for all the posts! I am gonna try the idea of putting the boards under the panels and piling feed on top. Figure if I drive slow and go back roads I will get them home well enough. Only need about 8 of em.

Dave

There's a Cutler-Dickerson on the east side of Jonesville, right on US12. Strictly farm, last time I was in there approx. a year ago.

United Producers Auctions have really good farm stores, like the one in Manchester and Ithica have alot of really good livestock supplies, way more that stupid TSC. Lotts elevator in Chohochtah has some stuff and so does the ADM outlet in Webberville, Webberville Feed, and Geyer Farm Service in Webberville.

Try the Coop in Manchester or Dans Farm Supply in Adrian.

Lay a couple 2x4-16's in the bed, or whatever other long lumber you have, then the panels, then some feed or other weight toward the front to help keep things from bouncing. Gus

I have hauled them in a regular pickup. They were folded over in a U shape. Had to lay them down to get the u out - no real problem. Both Fowlerville and Webberville have coops that carry a lot of farm supplies. Them feed store in Howell might too. Big Acre store in Brighton carries a lot of stuff, I will get the numbers and post this evening.

Thanks Easy. I have those numbers. The TSC in Howell is the one I am compaining about and Big Acre in Brighton won't have the panels. I used to know John the manager of there pretty well before he got sent to the UP where he is now doing
time.....hard time. Guess I did not know him as well as I thought 'cause it was a shock to me! Sounds like you are somewhere in my neck of the woods. I actually live in Brighton. Nice to run into a neighbor!

There is a nice farm supply store in Angola.
Lots of farm stuff. Better than TSC.
