I'm trying to find out how to polarize my generator on my A/C G . Every thing i read says to jump someting to the voltage regulator terminal. My G doesn't have a regulator. it have a resister light switch and a voltage cutout relay.Do I jump the terminals on the relay? Thanks for any and all help.

Land, You're correct, you can EITHER momentarily flash/jump at the Cutout Relay on its BAT and GEN (or ARM) terminals, or else simply momentarily flash jump any hot ungrounded battery voltage source (such as the terminal on a starter switch where the battery cable attaches) or the BAT terminal on the Cutout Relay (it has hot ungrounded battery voltage on it) etc. direct to the gennys ARM post and you should get a small spark. Although the gennys Field should already be grounded via a light switch type controller or a Voltage Regulator, one could ground the gennys Field post direct to the case/frame if necessary.
