I just purchased a Ford 841 Powermaster in good condition. What size bushhog and disc would be ideal for this tractor to handle???

An 841 will EASILY pull an 8' wide double-gang disc and a 6' hog, even in heavier grass. It's a Catagory 1 machine, so buy your implements with that in mind. You will have about 32 Drawbar HP and about 38 PTO HP.

A safe choice for mixed cutting (mostly grass and weeds with occasional brush and briars)would be a medium weight 5' cutter with a slip clutch. A medium or heavy duty 6' cutter would be a lot of weight on the rear of the tractor and could cause stabiltiy issues. These tractors were most often sold new with 20 or 24 pan disk harrows. The 20 pan Ford disk harrows were about 6-1/2 feet wide. Using a 24 pan disk would probably require ballast in the tires when disking plowed land. The 24 pan disk would also be a little wide for a 6-1/2 foot wide pipe or angle top trailer.
