Does anyone have experience with or can recommend a commercial sandblast outfit in North Texas (North of Dallas). My tractor haulin' trailer is looking pretty rough, and I want to paint it without spending a lot of time on prep work. After the blast and repaint, I'm thinking of re-flooring it with that Rumber that I keep hearing about. thanks, Stephen

There is a local company that is reasonable on price located in Weatherford, TX. Triple A is their name. It may be too far away for you. I can get the number if interested.

Dont know what they charge down your way, up here the price I was quoted sent me out to buy one from local "fleet" store. put a tarp under it and screened and reused the glass beads. Worked great and 4 years later paint still holding. Used in winter too. Took time though. Use it for "lawn ornaments" old plows etc. quite a bit. Luck- Bob

I just built a 24 foot goose neck trailer. 8 feet stationary and 16 foot tilt with Rumber floor. Really like the floor but recomemeded spacing for the cross memebers is 9 inches for a heavy load like a skid loader. And cutting the Rumber lenght wise to fit the last piece is a BIG job. One guy with the skill saw, one guy pulling away the cut off piece and one guy spraying WD-40 on the blade. Sharpened the blade and gave it more set did help. Got the Rumber from Red Neck Trailer, boards are the same dimention as a 2x8.

Big M,
Is it absolutely necessary to bolt down the Rumber boards to cross members? My trailer is a dual axle 14 foot car hauler type thing. Existing floor boards have a metal strip/plate on both front and back of trailer that kind of clamp them in place--no bolts into the cross members. I'm wondering if this is good enough for smaller tractors (like my Ford 800)? Also, would 16" centers be sufficient for my application? thanks, stephen

Maybe some of the trailer places in area can tell you. You aren't too far from the stock trailer mecca area in Oklahoma, Madill. Yellow pages, smartpages.com
