My 1835C has developed an engine problem. The symptom is that the 3 cyl deisel engine no longer will reach full RPM's. It gets to about 1/2 normal engine speed and then will no longer incease. The throtle on the side the engine will continue to its full position but no change in engine speed is noted pasted about the half throtle position.

What could be causing this?

Replaced the fuel filter and problem still exists. The problem is getting worse. Yesterday the max RPM was about 25% of Full throtle. Today it won't do any more then Idle. Also getting hard to start.

Having trouble finding the fuel filter. There is a black box on the side of the engine just behind the injectors. Has a large clip on it that not obvious how to remove. Is this the fuel filter?

Is there an easy way to test each injector?

Thanks for any advice you might have.
