Just bought this and hauled it home. F-30 is pretty rough, but it has a Sheppard diesel engine installed. Just a little out of the ordinary-looks like a challenge. I hope the picture is ok, first time trying to post a pic.

I have read that Sheppard sold diesel conversions for Farmalls, but I thought that was around 1950.

That really is a nice find. How rough is the engine?

I haven"t had a chance to play with it yet, but the engine is stuck and appears to be 100% complete. The oil pan has a split in it right at the bottom, so it probably had water in it at some time. The oil filler/breather cap is rusted through, so hopefully most of the water ran straight through. All exposed bolts are pretty rusty, it"s going to take lots of patience, penetrating oil, and maybe some heat to take it apart. I"ve already started soaking anything that needs to turn, may try removing some parts in a month or so to see inside the engine.
