My recently acquired forklift runs forward fine. In reverse seems like brake is applied, but can overpower by acellerating engine. I need direction with where to order Operating Manuel or what to adjust or repair. Same symptons if unit is up on jack stands. I can then turn wheels in reverve by hand with out resistance. Does not appear to be broken brake springs/parts. Any help appreciated.

This is a 1 speed forward & 1 speed reverse with the shuttle on the left side of the steering wheel. I am going to remove both wheels to look at the brake equipment. jim

Does the lift truck have the combo fwd-rev pedal??I've seen the pedal gummed up and not release one direction while applying another..2 clutches trying to apply at the same time..
