Hi,
I hope anyone can shed some light on what the problem might be with my kioti LK3054 4x4. The engine works, but when you push on the gas it feels like the breaks are on, because the tractor won't move. The engine revs up,and mabe I can get the tractor to move a little bit. This happens in any gear, I have pulled up on the break pedal, and pushed down on the parking break, but this doesn't change any thing. A dealer said it was the clutch, but I'm not to sure I can trust this dealer. Any suggestions, ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

I owned a Kioti 2554 at one time and had a similar problem, I thought for sure the clutch was bad, but it only had 100 hours on it! The tractor had sat for awhile before I bought it. What had happened was the cross shaft that goes through the bell housing had seized not allowing the clutch to fully engage. There is an inspection plate on th right side of the tractor at the bell housing, remove it and soak both ends of the cross shaft with penetrating oil, work it back and forth until it move freely with out binding. It may take awhile, as these can rust up pretty tight. Good luck, hope thats your problem. Dave

I was able to pull a harrow approx 1,000 ft, but then it started having trouble moving again. So I guess when it gets hot, thats when it stops working. Does this still sound like it is possibly thebell housing seizing? I don"t even know what,or where that is on the tractor.

Thanks

How many hours are on this tractor? The cross shaft is what the clutch pedal rod connects to. It is possible that as the tractor heats up, the shaft binds more. Dave

Sounds like a clutch. If the brake was stuck and wouldn't release, it would stall the engine as the clutch was released or at least pull it down, but if the clutch releases and the tractor doesn't go but the engine still runs OK, it is probably either the clutch or somehow it isn't in gear. It sounds silly, but check to make sure you are in gear. I am not familiar with that brand of tractor but if it has two sticks like mine, and one (the range shift) is in neutral it will act like you describe.
