My late uncle had a little tractor by the name of Economy. If I remember correctly, it is 8 horsepower, and in good, complete condition. I would guess it to be 50's vintage. Are these little tractors very sought after...valuable? Were they made largely from vendor parts? Liquid cooled? I have just been thinking about it lately. I don't remember what implements there were. It's been 10 years since I've seen it. It may still be available. It is 130 miles from here. Thanks, Glenn F.

Do a search for:
Economy King
Power King
Jim Dandy
and you should find a lot of info. I"ve seen fairly nice ones go for $800 to $1200. Of course, if it"s a very nice one, it could go up to almost $2000.

They are air cooled and at auctions they go high when they look useable.

A few questions....What type engine, Kohler? Did they produce different models, sizes? What transmission...# of gears? Any pto? What years did they make them? You say they go high...? Approx. How much? I appreciate your insight/information. Glenn F.

If I remeber ocrrectly, Economy, was repalced by Power King. not much change in tradtor other than name. various size engiens, I think kohler in earlier ones, and maybe Briggs in later. transmisisonw were 3 speed, but were qvqilqble with 2 in seiries. hydralics were avaialble,, but I think only pto was belt driven form engine. not sure on that though.
