In the low 40's here this morning, and a little overcast. Saw the blooms on my plums yesterday so it's about time for a good hard freeze. The frost gets my plums every year, don't know why I even try.

Blueberries are blooming. I'm on frost watch for the next few weeks.

How does the plum bloom look as far as yield if you dont get froze out?

Mornin' Gary,

I don't think ya can really hurt corn as long as the growin' point is still below the ground.

Frost might set 'er back a little, but won't kill it until it reaches the 6-leaf stage.

Been my experience anyway.

Allan

Cold (37) and wet here.

However, I've got real good weed germination. :>)

We are looking at Thursday to plant the club corn. We'll put in about 20 acres. I don't know why. Unless it rains a LOT it will never make a crop. My neighbor is going to summer-fallow all his ground. No frost here, about 45° and overcast. I am going to start working the plowed ground. Maybe get the planter mounted on the 656.
