Gary bought these plires. We think they are to splice the checkwire? Any ideas?

I think they are but I don't have a clue how to use them.

Some how you have to make that goofy knot to trip the planter.

Hi:
Don't know about the plires. When the wire broke, we used to cut out the broken "link" and splice with a small connector, much like a chain repair link. When I started farming, I was never able to get a good "check" so crossing was not easy. Fortunately about that time "power checking" became common and then, of course, drilling.
