Hi Fellas, I have an off topic question. Sorry. I am sprayinfg atrazine and it is gumming up my valves and clouding my ball monitors. What can I add to my solution to keep things clear and free. I was thinking of putting in a batch of clothes washer soap. What do you guys think?

John,
You may not have the chemical diluted with enough water or you may not have enough tank agitation. Also when useing atrazine, it"s very important to rinse the rig out with plenty of clean water at the end of the day. Avoid leaving mixed product over night. If you have to do this, flush the boom out with clean water when you stop spraying, then stir the mix with a shovel or rake before you operate the pump in the morning. After applying atrazine we de-contaminate the rig with a mixture of soap powder and washing soda and inspect every filter and nozzle. This cleans the system and neutralizes the chemical.

Are you spraying just atrazine or do you have something else with it? I just sprayed 125 acres with atrazine & Dual didn't have any problems

John, you probably have some compatibility problems that can be caused by a number of issues. 1. Are you using clean well water? 2. What is the temperature of the water? 3.How much agitation do you have? 4. What adjuvents are you using? 5. What is your mixing order/procedure? 6. Have you tried cleaning out your tank and starting from scratch?

If all else fails, using a compatibility agent may help solve your problem.
