Well ahd a goose hatch out 5 eggs today but now all 5 chicks are gone. There in a fenced in area and all my other birds are ok. So what in the world could have gooten the 5 young birds

Hey Rich! Been raising geese now for 35 years. If you have small goslings disappearing they are most likely being taken from above. Depending on the breed of goose, they are pretty darn good at protecting their brood. I am thinking hawk unless they are disappearing at night. Then maybe owl or a REAL clever and persistant coon.

Taken during the day, The geese I havce are the gray/white cross type not sure of the breed name of them. I did find 2 of them today but they where dead so yep I figure it was a Hawk and conservation will be getting a cold tomorrow about the problem

Been having Bald Eagles plucking em off my pond all last week. Same thing last year. Eagles totally decimated 3 broods of Canadian honkers and even more duckling mallards. Wanst a duck on the pond the rest of the summer.

Yep, most likely a hawk; could have been a snake, but he prob"ly wouldn"t have taken all five. Them other critters operate mostly at night.
