I posted this in the Massy board but didn't get any answers so I'll ask here. I have a Massay Harris 30 I'm working on and need the torque specs and valve gap for it. Thanks

If that"s the 47-49 30 with the Cont F-162, Motors 50 Trk/Trtr Man sez .014H (hot) (the 22 and 30 show hot; other models show c=cold). Cyl hd shows:
for 3/8 studs 40-45;
for 7/16 studs70-75.
Has tightening sequence, can desc if you need; sorry no dig camera; if you want spec pgs (covers 20 thru 203G, gasoline only; truck parts, with dates, generally 36-49) or sequence diagram send mail adds. good luck.

That was what I needed. The tractor is a 1949 but not sure what the year of the engine I just put in is. I can pretty well guess which one to tighten first etc. Thanks

On a MH-22, which would be similar to the MH-30, the cylinder head is 70-75 lbs, tappet clearance is .14. Hope this helps you.
