I have a 9N which was already converted to 12v when I bought it. I am trying to rewire and need a basic diagram, including an explanation of what should be used as a voltage reducer. I am basically ignorant of electrical systems so the more simple, the better. Notes: I have a twelve volt battery, and AC/Delco, 12 volt alternator already in place. I have front mount distributor with what I think is 6 volt coil. Any help will ease my all encompassed mental distress! Thanks.

Post your questions and I will answer them. Tell me how many wires were on the alternator when you got the tractor. The resistor for the coil is an ignition resistor rated at 1.4 to 1.65 ohms and should be availabe at auto zone for a few bucks.
