If she is going for a STOCKtrailer, get a corn pro. They are the best built and will out last and hold their value

Mine is a Titan. Next choice would likely be a Tavalong

Do any of them use Rumber for the floors ? Ask about it. This is a lumber made from rubber. You should find it at www.rumber.com ? Or get a sprayed in bed liner applied.

The worse thing on floors is letting the horse waste sit on the floor and not washing them out after use. Does not take long for urine to eat away aluminum & wood.

The Mrs. and I kind of have it down to a science now- I grab the edges of the mats with two pair of vicegrips and hold them up while she washes the floor. Floor (solid aluminum sheet) looks as good as new, trailer (Silverlite, made in Oregon) is 5 years old. They will corrode and fail if you don't wash them out every once in awhile. The aluminum "plank" floor is supposed to be better- lets the urine go through and the floor can dry out. I wonder if it really ever gets dry, though, with the rubber mats over the top. Think you would still want to rinse it out.

A brand that I really like is Heart. Pretty well built.
Featherlite is very very good too.

Tim;
We have a 4 horse Sundowner GN, and have never had a problem or complaint. Seems to pull easier than our 2 horse bumper pull.
Don't fall for that line about falling through the floor with Featherlites. They are just as good as any of the others (lots of folks say better).
Good Luck

Most trailer salesman are full of it, I know, I once was one back in my wasted youth! Featherlite has a really really good floor, one of the best actually. Most of the featherlite's have a tongue in grove plank design that runs the entire lenth of the trailer, very strong. Most all the alluminum trailers being made today are pretty good. Only one that comes to mind that I don't care for as much is the Exiss, because much of the lower frame is riveted together instead of welded. I have had featherlite's and would buy another one. I have had sooner's and they are not bad but not as good as featherlite. I have an Elite now and it is top of the line craftsmanship, but they are a pile of cash too.

Also, just to clarify, the planks I was refering to are extruded ribbed alluminum, not wood, wasn't very clear about that.

I just bought a four horse bumper pull stock trailer a couple of months ago from a Featherlite dealer, it was a Chapparal and cost $5000. I traded in a 2 horse Featherlite that is 12 years old and the floor was perfect, he gave me $4000 on the trade in, so I think that salesmand was giveing you a load of crap. He did tell me that the 4 horse steel stock trailer is lighter than the 4 horse Featherlite stock trailer.

Dunno Tim,

Around here the Feather Lite is considered the best. Think that salesman is kinda tellin' a fib 'bout the floor falling out. :>)
