Well I finally got my '49 John Deere B up on rubber. Sort of. My tractor-loving-girlfriend's dad gave me a set of old rears to use temporarily. I say temporarily because they aren't going to last much longer. I got the right side mounted with a new tube and mounted on the tractor. So I'm roughly 1/3 on rubber. I have to clean up and paint the other rim before that can be mounted. As soon as I get the whole thing off the ground I'll be able to...push it around and make put-put noises : ) If anyone has some old fronts they can part with for cheap, let me know. Otherwise I might just buy new. Thank you much.

You can buy new front tires for abour $40 each from Tucker Tire near Memphis, TN. had good luck with them and I would recommend them to anyone.

If your just trying to get it off the ground find some passenger tires that fit. Shipping used tires is not cheap.
