Just for craps and giggles, how heavy is the average 12' x 60 mobile home? Last weekend, I helped a Deere 7210 MFWD move one that had been planted for almost 40 yrs with my Deere 2350 MFWD, moved it a little, with both Deeres digging big holes with all wheels in the dirt and crushed stone, then had to get a New Holland TC110 MFWD helper tractor for the 7210 to finish the job as the 2350 was too light. Drug 'er out on her belly, grading dirt all the way, only one axle of three had wheels, and the tires were just about gone, each wheel made a heckuva furrow, too. They gotta be pretty durn heavy, I have heard anywhere from 13,000 lbs to 13 tons, Just curious.

Friend who tows them told me that there must be an axle for each 6000# of weight of the home. So count the axles and multiply for an estimate.

With three axles, that would make it about 18,000 lbs, which sounds about right.

I had a 14 x 76 mobile home with 5 axles. The title said 22,000 lbs.

That sounds about right, the 12 x 60 would then probably be around 16,000 to 18,000 lbs, but then there is all the crap inside. The one we moved had all the crap inside, too so that would have put it at around 22,000 lbs, maybe. It exceeded the drawbar pull of a Deere 7210 MFWD, for sure.

I know a dude what hauled one a few miles with a one ton International truck. It was a 12 x 60, and was a heckuva load, I'm sure it must have squatted the butt end, altho I'm sure the engine could handle it, being designed for large dump trucks and the like.
