Hi everyone. I have that hard starting when warm problem. No its not the battery or starter. It whirls it over just fine. I put a spark tester on the coil wire and cranked it over to test for spark and it has spark the second i turn the key. The fuel pressure is 34 psi. running and on hook the vacum hose from the fuel pressure regulator (which is new) and it has 42 psi. But the fuel pressure does leak down kinda fast. Would that matter. It dosnt act flooded or anything like that. It has had sea foam fuel conditioner added to the tank to clean injectors periodicaly since i have owned it. What should i be looking for?? Thanks in advance.

sounds like a fuel pressure problem It should hold pressure and not bleed down after shut off,,you may have bad regulator , bad injector, or leaking fuel pump check valve.Any loss of presure will make it hard to start. Is there any fuel in vac line when you tak eit off the reg ? if so reg is bad .

Bryan, there is no fuel in the vacum line when you pull it off. That is a new fuel pressure regulator about 3 weeks old. I think it is the check valve in the tank. Does that mean a new fuel pump module of some one mentioned putting a check valve in the presure line. I know that i have the over filling of the front tank syndrome from the rear tank.

I just put a digital volt meter on the battery and i get 10.79 volts while cranking on a cold start. I didnt check a hot start voltage while cranking yet.

It dosent seem like it is rich. Is there a certain resistance the coolant sensor and air intake sensor should read? I want to fix this before i wear the starter out. Thanks for all the help from everyone.

Yes, there is a specific resistance for each sensor at a given temperature I'm 25 miles away from my service information today. Perhaps someone will post more detailed information, or check out GOOGLE.

The fuel pressure does run up to 42 psi when cranking but not right away. There is maybe a second or 2 before it reaches the 42 psi.

What is the battery voltage while cranking?

Also, try boosting it from another vehicle. Does it start quicker when there is more power available?

Does it act like it's running rich on a hot start?

A bad coolant sensor or intake air temp sensor will amke the 'puter think it's cold, and give it too much fuel, making it act like it's flooded.
