ejr-IA had it on the nose,1800c diesel.Alot of tractor for the JD/Van-Brunt drill, but it was the easiest to get out of the shed, and a t-storm was coming (which it did) that night.
Alot of good guesses,it really takes an Oliver guy to figure out which model by examining the placement and alignment of the exhaust, pre-cleaner,rad,and fuel cap.
By the way,I was seeding alfalfa,with a cover-crop of jim oats.~brad

I'd thinks 1850 gas, no diesel fuel stain at cap, no smoke, good size hood. Boco

Looks like an Oliver 2455 or 2655 4WD. Articulated beast. If it is it's rare. Hardly see any of them around here in Michigan anymore. Especially fitting fields. Just my guess.

O. K. All you gus that guess 1850 diesel are out as the muffler is on the wrong side. The engine is a 283 or 310 Oliver Waukesha. It is not a 1650 or 1655 as the air cleaner is not the correct place. Also the bar with the lights hides the battery door. I see the air cleaner has a precleaner now to me the catch is was the precleaner added or not? I have it narrowed down to three.

I'm no oliver expert but I'd say an Oliver 1850 with the 354 Perkins(prolly why it's not smoking). I don't think you could afford to go over that ground with a gas tractor.

Well, there are add on headlites on the side of the grill so it must be a 00 or 50 series which don't have grill mount lites. I agree Gasser, and that muffler is used on the larger tractors, so I'm gonna say 17 or 1850 gasser.

I agree Oliver 1850 gas. The gas air cleaner is small and hidden by the exhaust.

Yep, I agree it's an Oliver, but as far as what model, that would be pretty hard. I'd say it's a diesel, because that looks like a diesel fuel cap.

No clue on the kind of tractor, I would guess an Oliver too. Fuel? I would say gas. Cap is open, so I"m guessing it"s running and I don"t see any smoke.

The hood looks like an 1850 oliver diesel, but it looks higher in the air like a 4x4,so my guess is I don't know.
