Read with interest the comments on the price of gasoline in the USA. In England April 2006 the price of unleaded gas is $6.25 per US Gallon, maybe higher in other areas. White diesel is $6.35 per US Gallon. Cant afford to take my recently imported John Deere BR to plowing match at these prices.

Yes, we get "free" healthcare, we pay taxes all our life only to wait for 6 months plus for a hospital appointment. The National Health areas are running millions in debt, in past 3 weeks they laid off 7000 staff, mainly nurses to try to balance their budgets. Thats why many of us pay private health insurance. All drugs prescribed cost $11.50 each timethe Doctor hands out a prescription. Keep smiling its one of the few things politicians aint taxed us on yet ! Still got my old tractors to keep me sane.

If you take the taxes off their fuel you would find it's not that different than our prices minus taxes. In fact last summer when gas was over $3 here the price there was cheaper than ours. Guess they didn't learn much from that "tea party" we threw for them in Boston. Health care? I think Russia had "free" health care once, probably a good deal if you were a mortician.

You fellas need to revolt maybe throw your tea in the Thames. There is an a$$hole over there that used to be the GM of the company I worked for and he sold us out and got himself a job before the plant closing announcement. What a *ickhead.

I'd gladly pay that if I got free health care like they do.

OH come on now, just go over to Canada if you want to see how crapy that turns out. That is why all the Canadians that need serious health care come to the States, they will die over there waiting for a doctor.

I've heard it's more like free non health care.
