Many tornados here in Johnson county tonite.

They called in the diasater team to the University of Iowa Hospitals.
Don't know what that means they have never done that before.
We got caught in golf ball size hail on the way home from town.
I thought it was coming thru the windsheild.
Just heard on the scanner they called all County firefighters and first responders to Iowa City.
That can't be good.

Be careful out there buddy. Hopefully it's moved through and you're in the clear now. I just talked to dad, who lives just south of IA City, by Washington, and he said they've been watching the weather all evening. Mentioned something about the Menards roof in IA city getting torn up?
I'm in Dekalb, IL and it sounds like it may be heading our way now.

Good Luck.

Yep weather is being very odd the last couple years. We are so dry here that you spit and it doesn't even hit the ground. And people of west can't get enough dry to do any thing. Maybe we need to figure out how to ship the water where we need it or maybe that is the problem they have done that so much out west its has it all messed up. I feel for you up that way I lost 2 building a couple weeks ago to the wind

Hey old, I am figuring you live in Southern Missouri from what you said about your buildings, what part of it? I am over here in West Tn in Dresden, about 15 miles from where those tornados hit 2 weekends ago. There are people here in Martin finding receipts and things from Mo. that blew in with the storms.

Rode down to Bradford Saturday to carry them some supplies. After a week of cleaning up with the National Guard and other towns helping they finally got the streets open where you could drive into the town down to the relief center. Unreal at the damage a tornado can do.....

I'm at the lake of the ozarks area of Missouri. Sort of mid south centrel. Just north on I44 and about 100 miles south of I70. 2nd time in 3 or 5 years that I lost a building to wind/tornados.

Mornin' Gary....I hope you survived the storm okay. All we could see was the light show to the north and east. Not even a sprinkle here. We finally got lucky for once!

Don't think that is correct.

Parts of the University might have got hit but not the Hospital or west end of campus.

Church roof off during services.

Injuries reported.

Here in Dubuque county we got crazy lightning and an inch of rain in about 40 min time. Hail was only marble sized. I was at the other farm hauling manure when it started, not very fun, sounds like it was terrible down south though. Heard on the news before a guy was in his machine shed and it went down on him, luckily he had a cell phone to call 911 because his legs were trapt.

As a Okie from the OK/KS border, I feel for you guys. We have had terrible drought and no weather where we normally dodge storms galore in fall and spring. It has went from cold straight hot here, STILL NO RAIN. If we don"t get rail and soon, wheat wil not make anything. Farm Sales are gonna be plentiful and farm equipment will be cheap as dirt. When we planted farm diesel was 2.80+. How can you make that up when wheat is less than that a bushel?

Not any weather like that here, golfball sized hail in Randall, 2 miles north of us. Hot for Iowa in April, 90 DEGREES!
